What Is Ceramic Coating?
If you drive your car occasionally, or every day, you’re bound to eventually run into bad weather, dusty and dirty roads, bird droppings, tar, etc.
When that does happen, if your car is ceramic coated you’ll be much better off!
Ceramic coating protects your car’s shine, and provides an easy solution to keeping your car cleaner and shinier for longer.
A ceramic coating is an additional layer that goes over your car’s paintwork to protect it from the dangers of driving and sitting outside.
Ceramic coatings are based on what’s called si02. They are evenly applied by hand to your vehicle’s paintwork, trim, glass, mirrors, wheels, and more. Ceramic coatings are very versatile in protecting every surface of your car from the elements and make cleaning up a breeze when it’s time for a car wash.
When you’re ready to protect the outside of your vehicle, and add an eye catching extra glossy layer of shine to your ride, you need a ceramic coating.

Commonly Asked Ceramic Coating Questions
No, a ceramic coating does not prevent scratches. Coatings can be damaged by poor care, such as improper washing techniques, and dry wiping your car’s paintwork.
A Ceramic coating does reduce the amount of cosmetic wear your vehicle experiences though. You’ll notice a reduction in damage from the elements, bug residue, dust, dirt, etc.
Coatings also help prevent harmful elements from embedding themselves in your car’s paint.
It is important to understand the ceramic coatings are not scratch proof. Coatings can still be damaged by poor washing techniques and road hazards. However, with the addition of a ceramic coating, you’ll notice significant reduction in minor cosmetic wear caused by harmful external elements such as road grime, chemical contaminants, bird droppings, and bug residue. Ceramic coatings also help to prevent harmful contaminants from becoming bonded to the exterior surface of your vehicle making cleaning an easier process.
Paint correction is strongly recommended, but not required to apply a ceramic coating.
With that said, a ceramic coating will not adhere to your car’s paintwork nearly as well if no paint correction is performed before installation. This can cause the coating to wear off prematurely.
There are many different levels of ceramic coating that can be applied to your car that fit every level of budget.
On average a ceramic coating installation ranges anywhere from $400 to $1000 for proper installation and paint correction.
The main factors that influence the cost are what condition your car’s paint is in on arrival (how much correction is required), and what longevity of coating is being applied to your car (longer lasting coatings cost more since they last longer and are more difficult to apply, requiring additional steps and careful preparation)

Ceramic coating can be applied to paint protection film to add the same benefits of added shine, protection, and ease of cleaning!
